7 keys to buy the perfect gift, every time!

BECOME A GIFT GIVING PRO WITH THESE QUESTIONS

A gift guide is great, but when people are so different, it's still a bit hard to choose from everything that is out there.

I came across a blog regarding questions you can ask before you buy for someone, and thought it's worth to share.

Below are a few questions you can ask yourself about the person you're buying a gift for,  so that you can give a truly personal and meaningful gift that will be a welcomed surprise!

So let's get too it:

Question 1 - WHAT IS SOMETHING THEY WANT BUT WOULD NEVER PAY FOR?

Do they have a hobby that could be improved by training or a tool? Maybe they like indoor plants (like me) but won't buy that beautiful extra large Monstera for themselves. Maybe ask some questions about their hobby or talk to a someone close to them about what would excite them in their hobby.

Question 2WHAT ARE THEIR HOBBIES/INTERESTS? This one might feel a bit obvious, but try to think a little deeper. It doesn't have to be expensive, just do some research or good ol' googling about key things someone needs for this hobby!

EXAMPLES: FISHING, HUNTING, BOATING, SKIING, SEWING, CRAFTING

Question 3 DO THEY HAVE SPECIFIC TREATS/FOODS THEY LOVE?  obvious as well, but sometimes it takes a little extra digging.

EXAMPLE: HEALTH, FOOD, ESSENTIAL OILS, SKINCARE

Question 4 WHAT KIND OF STYLE DO THEY HAVE? Keep in mind body type and size, whether they wear patterns or not, the colours that suit their colour pallet (skin, eyes, hair) etc.

Question 5 WHAT'S GOING ON IN THEIR LIFE? Just married? or perhaps engaged? A new parent? A new business owner? Student? Athlete? Upcoming vacations? Maybe struggling with something?

Maybe there is something that has helped you if/when you went through that point of life.

Question 6 DO THEY LIKE EXPERIENCES OR THINGS?  For both, there are some awesome things out there.

Question 7 IS MONEY TIGHT FOR THEM? When finances are tight for someone, that is when it is really important to get them something worthwhile! Maybe they do just need a visa gift card or cash, then they can have a little guilt free spending with that extra money.  I think this is important, as we might feel bad just giving a gift card, but it could, especially when you think things out a little, be a saving grace for them.

I hope these questions have given you a good place to start in becoming a pro at gift giving! There are so many ways to connect with others and make them feel extra special especially on days that we celebrate all about them!
